With our brand new dental office in Chariton, Chariton Dental is built to provide the best and most comfortable dental care in the Chariton, Russel, and Lucas area. At Chariton Dental, your comfort is our most important goal. We begin with a comfortable waiting area, serviced by an extremely knowledgeable office team. We lead you from there into our exam rooms where you can relax and watch T.V. while seated in your chair.
While in your chair, Dr. Tanner will show you your x-rays on a convenient monitor and will answer any questions you may have.
At Chariton Dental you’ll find a visit to your dentist isn’t what it used to be. Technology advancements have made it possible to detect problems earlier; provide better, more comfortable treatment; and reduce pain and anxiety you may have associated with dental care in the past.

Dr. Tyson Tanner
In his free time, Dr. Tanner loves to fish with his kids. It's a good day when he's able to hook a bass! If you know of any good fishing or hiking spots, feel free to share during your next appointment, because he loves to be outdoors, even in the winter. Dr. Tanner likes spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and tucking in to a good cheeseburger. He really enjoys working with the Chariton Community and being a part of the annual activities. He loves the town and the people he gets to interact with in the area.
Dental Hygienist
Tiffany Stenger
Tiffany was raised in Carroll, Iowa, and graduated from DMACC dental hygiene program in 2013. She currently lives in Norwalk with her husband, Andrew and daughter, Olivia. She spends her free time chasing after Olivia and spending time outside.

Kailey Johnson
Kailey grew up in Humeston and graduated from high school in 2015. She graduated from Indian Hills Dental Hygiene program in 2020 and has been working in the field since then. She enjoys any outdoor activity and spending time with her son Charlie.
Dental Assistant
Tammera Alexander
Tammera went to high school in Chariton! She enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to different off-road parks with her side-by-sides, and shopping with friends! She became a licensed Dental Assistant in 2025.

Toxey Freeman
Toxey is from Corydon, IA. She enjoys hanging with friends and family, going to the lake, and side-by-side rides! She became a licensed Dental Assistant in 2025.
